Born in a traditional and deeply spiritual family as a curious enquirer of Truth; Swami Abhedananda met Pujya Gurudev Swami Chinmayananda in his early teenage days. His close association with Gurudev nourished this spiritual awakening until he dedicated himself to the monastic order of Chinmaya Mission in 1993. After his initiation into Sanyasa by Pujya Guruji Swami Tejomayananda, Swamiji has gloriously served the Mission centres in India and Singapore before taking charge of Chinmaya Mission South Africa in 2006.

Swami Abhedananda is a versatile speaker and a thought-provoking writer. He is among the few teachers who have the proficiency to merge Advaita Vedanta with deep devotion for the Lord. Touching all aspects of day-to-day living; connecting them to ready references from the scriptures, Swamiji engages his audience with unmatched logic, soul stirring emotion, and a tinge of humor. Over the last two decades, Swamiji has delivered innumerable discourses on wide ranging scriptural texts. He has also lectured at various management schools, academic institutions and corporate houses across the globe.
